MarinBasis: Research cruise to East Greeland with Lauge Koch

The marine component of the Greenland Ecosystem Monitoring programme will conduct its 16th seasonal sampling in Young Sound. The work includes a repeated ctd transect spanning the fjord and deployment of additional moorings and instruments funded by INTAROS to expand the seasonal coverage of observations in the area. This cruise will be performed by The Royal Danish Navy ship Lauge Koch, which has been fitted for marine research and will conduct its first Arctic scientific cruise to East Greenland. The Lauge Koch expedition studied impacts of melting ice on pelagic carbon cycling and provide measurements on the marine carbonate system for East Greenland fjords south of 74 N in the period July 31 to August 23, as part of Arctic Science Partnership (www.asp-net.org). Leader is Mikael Sejr.
