Copernicus Workshop on Arctic Data

The Copernicus In Situ Coordination Activity led by the EEA has initiated a project focusing on clarifying to which extent the necessary in situ data (near real-time as well as delayed quality controlled) are available to:
• Maximize the exploration of present and future Copernicus Sentinels;
• Produce and validate products from the Copernicus Services – CMEMS, C3S, and CAMS.

The project aims at providing an overview of:
• Requirements for meteorological, climate, and ocean incl. sea ice and cryosphere in situ data in the Arctic region by Copernicus Services and the Space Component;
• Existence and availability of the requested data incl. identification of condition for access restricted data (payment, limitation in use etc.);
• Identified gaps.
